Premium Mod Competition: Help Us Spread The Word
Posted on 15. Dec, 2009 by admin in Announcement, Competition | 2 responses
We’ve reached mid-way of our Premium Mod Competition. Although we haven’t receive any submissions yet, we are positive about the receptions and we are sure that many of the participants are still working and tweaking their theme mod until the final day.
So we have a favor to ask from you.
If you believe in what we are doing, or downloaded one of our mods (which has been downloaded around 1,900 times), or would like to see more premium theme mods from us or from the community, help us spread the word.
You can write a blog post about the Premium Mod Competition. Or tweet about it. Or simply retweet it.
Thank you.

On Adding Values
Posted on 30. Nov, 2009 by admin in Announcement | 0 responses
Matt said it in the interview with Jeff Chandler of WordPress Tavern. And most of the WordPress community agreed about adding values as well. So, I posted the question at WordPress Tavern forum asking about how do Premium Mod add values and the members came up with the following suggestions and ideas:
- add stuff (color scheme, feature, child theme, page template), rather than remove it.
- Optimize it so that it loads faster and less buggy.
- Increase flexibility (more widgetized area, less theme options).
- Change the layout (color/images).
What do you think? If you have any suggestions, feel free to chip in here.

Theme Mod Competition – Brewing in Progress
Posted on 14. Nov, 2009 by admin in Announcement, Competition | 5 responses

We will be organizing the first ever theme mod competition for the WordPress community – The Premium Mod Competition.
The idea is choose a commercial GPL theme from the WordPress Commercial Themes Directory (it doesn’t matter whether it’s a paid theme or not), mod it, release the theme and notify us the link (you could submit the theme to us if you don’t have a site to release it).
There will be several cash and prizes (depending on our sponsors) for several winners, namely Community’s Favorite (most voted theme), Judges’ Favorite (yes, there will be a panel judges), and may be (just may be) a Premium Mod’s Favorite.
The competition will be starting around mid December (we are still working with the sponsors) and will last for 1 month.
To keep yourself updated about the Premium Mod Competition, it’s best you subscribe our feed (or email at the sidebar) and follow us on Twitter.
If you have any ideas/suggestions/critics about the competition, please let us know in the comments.

Finally.
We initially wanted to launch back in September. Then, we got side-tracked by Ruby on Rails (yeah, we know, really late adopters). But now, we are back to the good ol’ WordPress scene again. Let me present you…
